Institute of banking personnel selection (IBPS) written examination will be held in December 2012 for the post of clerk. This specialized system of written examination has been approved by many legitimate and high reputation banks and also from IBA.
Syllabus and pattern
IBPS exam syllabus would include Logical Reasoning, English language, Numerical ability, General awareness and Computer knowledge. Each subject will have 40 questions of about 40 marks. Questions will be asked as objective type, Candidates will have to choose one right option from given four options. Candidates can attend all of the 200 questions within 2 hours.
Question paper will be in both English and Hindi language. Candidates can answer their entire questions in only one of them.
Candidates have to plan their preparation according to the syllabus in order to attain cut off marks to get selected.
Candidate has to score passing marks in each subject individually and has to score minimum aggregate percentage to apply for the interview further.
There will be a different cut off list for general candidates and candidates who are under SC/ST/OBC category.
As a penalty for giving wrong answer to a question one fourth or 0.25 marks will be deducted from the marks assigned to that question. Candidates have to keep this in account while answering the questions.

Questions in this topic will be aimed to candidate’s general knowledge about world and activities going around everywhere. There won’t be any particular topic.

Try not to attempt all questions to secure marks from negative marking.
Candidates have to answer every question quickly because there won’t be much time to spend on every single question.
Candidates should use small techniques for numerical questions.
Do not neglect the English language questions
